Massachusetts can rapidly cut its carbon emissions by embracing ten “game-changing” opportunities, and local businesses are poised to benefit, according to two reports released today by the Environment Massachusetts Research & Policy Center.
Massachusetts is playing a major role in U.S. progress to address climate change, a new report said today. In the next decade, the state will make reductions in its global warming pollution equivalent to the annual emissions from 4 million passenger vehicles.
The report, “Driving Cleaner: More Electric Vehicles Mean Less Pollution,” shows that electric vehicles could prevent more than a million metric tons of climate-changing carbon pollution annually in the United States by 2025.
